Comments

Crises has always felt to me like a sequel to Five Miles Out. Like the previous album it uses the formula of a long instrumental first half and a series of smaller tracks for the second half. The title track is the kind of ambling, morphing instrumental I've come to expect from Mike, changing direction at the drop of a tubular bell.

"Moonlight Shadow" was a huge hit at the time for Mike, and it's likely if you've heard any of his songs, you'll have heard that one. It's also the best of the shorter tracks. "Foreign Affair" I find annoyingly repetative, but "Shadow on the Wall" is another classic, and the others are fine. What mysterious link does the "Taurus" series have and is there a "Taurus 4"?
