Comments

Pretty much an archetypal Enya album with her trademark sound consisting of multiple overlayed vocals and lush strings. Unfortunately since this album her output has slowed to a pace bordering on extinct. Why, I'm not sure, but this is the last album of that first run...

One of the most notable tracks is "Pax Deorum" which is uncharacteristically dark and dramatic, lyrics delivered in Latin against a doomy backdrop. "Anywhere Is" is one of my favourite Enya tracks, and there also other classics such as "China Roses" and "Once You Had Gold". The closing track, "On My Way Home" is a worthy climax and at one point refers musically back to "Orinoco Flow".
