Comments

Since I had enough tracks featuring Sinéad to fill two or three albums, I thought "What the heck, I'll buy her best of". The only song I'd heard previously was "Nothing Compares 2 U", which is indeed a very beautiful song. I was also already familiar with "I Am Stretched on Your Grave" from Dead Can Dance's excellent version (their's is better than Sinéad's I think), and "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" which is pretty decent here.

She exhibits a wide range of styles across the tracks, ranging from pop/rock for "Mandinka" to musical to something that almost resembles Trip-Hop for "Thank You For Hearing Me". Constant, of course, is Sinéad's glorious voice which when fully unleashed can put chills up your spine. She puts an incredible amount of emotion into her vocals.

"Fire on Babylon" is currently my favourite song from this album.
