This 2004 remaster has a sound quality so excellent I would have sworn it was recorded in 2004 if it were't for the style: Ambling folk music with use of early synthesizers. Included is Sally Oldfield's first majorly successful single "Mirrors", and a 7-part Lord of the Rings piece ("Songs of the Quendi") which I felt cheated a bit in that it recycles music from the other songs on the album.
Sally's brother Mike turns up to play mandolin on "Child of Allah", and a lot of chorus parts are similar in sound to those on some of Mike's 70s albums...
After hearing the job they did on this one, I hope they're intending to release more remasters of Sally's older albums!
