Comments

The last of Enigma's first wave of albums makes heavy use of sounds from his first three albums ("Smell of Desire" being an extreme example of this) and samples O Fortuna to great effect. The former put me off a bit at first, but Cretu managed to give the Screen Behind the Mirror its own identity separate from the previous albums.

Most of this album rocks, but particularly cool is the bit at the end of "Endless Quest" where it builds up to the next track. I'm also fond of the last two tracks - pity they weren't released as singles.

The backwards singing in "Camera Obscura" is the lyrics to "Modern Crusaders", in case you were wondering.
