Comments

It seems a little odd to rerecord a whole album for its anniversary, but it's not like she's the first artist to do so... The new acoustic instrumentation is more laid back than that on the original Jagged Little Pill while Alanis has supplied similarly biting vocals, the combination of which works on some songs but not, IMHO, on others.

It's interesting to compare this with both JLP (the vocals are a lot more confident) and her previous album So-Called Chaos (all multi-layered instruments and complex lyrics) to see how far Alanis has come in her career. I'll be interested to see if rerecording JLP has inspired her in any new directions when her next album comes out...
